Wednesay Update

Hi all,
Well it has been a busy week for all of us here. Elizabeth is teething again, though we haven't seen any show of a tooth (or teeth) yet. Though she is past her really drooley stage right now.
So far she still has the front bottom two (a little less than half way up), and is in the standing up holding on to something phase though she can't pull herself up yet (though she wants to try especially when she has a handfull of arm hair.)
Been very cold here the last week, but not lots of snow, it is especially been cold on my days off, and when we vist houses to view. Along that line, we finally found a house (a condo townhouse really) yesterday, and after a vist put a bid on it. It is just across our old area we lived in when we came up to Calgary and house sat a Condo in Shawnacy, so we are familiar and also like the area as well. We found a condo earlier in the same complex, but it needed alot of work, this one needs hardly any work, , though we don't actually get it until the end of February.
We are pretty happy with it, and can't wait to add our own touches and ideas to our new home.

Well, everyone have a great holiday, I am off on thursday, so I will try to update some photos online if I get some spare time to a computer.

Take care everyone.

Friday Update

Hi all,
Well lots going on this week, we have been house hunting this week, trying to find a place to call home. The "market" has slowed down quite a bit now, and prices have actually dropped some types of houses more than others....
Elizabeth has put up with being carted from house to house all week, and she has been pretty good about being manhandled while opening cupboards and looking under sinks and in refidgerators.... Also we think she may be teething again, constant drooling...
Still cannot get pictures uploaded yet, I don't even have any time to turn on the laptop, and with more work days and hours coming up for December, it probably won't even be til later. Don't worry though, we have been taking pictures...
Asside from that same old, it has been pretty cold lately, and we have had a few snowy days, but it hasn't been that bad so far.
We learned a valuable lesson last night, paprika and cyanne pepper looks pretty much the same in an unlabled jar, and they definately do not TASTE the same when making a big pot of gulash....

Anywho,
keep safe and enjoy the holidays.

Monday afternoon

Hi all,
lotsa work, work work. Sorry about the photo's my explorer program crashes everytime I try to browse my photos to upload. Happens here, and elsewhere in the internet. Haven't been able to track the problem down but hopefully soon.
Asside from that, Elizabeth is still growning like a weed, we think she is teething again, not to sure which teeth are going to come out next, though. Eating solids is still going pretty smothly, she seems to turn a bit blotchy when eating apples, so we think we will avoid those for a bit, until we can talk to a nurse during the next visit.

Asside from that, we are back on the market looking for a home, seems like the prices have slowed down, and in some areas, have even dropped. So far, we haven't found the proper combo of price vs. wants and needs. First home, so we might as well take our time, cause it is going to be ours for quite some time..

Everyone is doing fine, will drop a line soon, hopefully with some pics..

Tuesday Morning

Hi all,
much busy since I last updated the site. Lotsa work, A birthday (I am now a ripe 37 years old!!), my Mom coming in on Sunday, and finally our 7th year anniversary.
Elizabeth is learning how to eat from a spoon, prepping her up for solids in another week or so. She has been pretty well lately, and has enjoyed meeting her final Grandmother.
Aside from that, much else to report. Had a funny incident happen the other day to me.

I picked up some groceries the other day at the superstore, I went to the self scan till, and decided to take out another 20 bucks for some cash. Well the machine gave me an extra $20 bucks. So in bit of honesty, I took the money to a cashier and told her I got $20 bucks to much.
well on the way out I picked up a lottery ticket for 3 bucks. The next day I went back to the store and hit some numbers on the lottery...... yep you have probably guessed it by now..... I won $20 bucks....... Once again reconfirming in my life, that fate has a sense of humor when it comes to dealing with me......

Anyhoo, off to pick up my Mom in a bit, and I will try to update some photos hopefully tomorrow.

Take care all,

Wednesday Afternoon

Hi all,

Not much going on, we got back from the mall about an hour and a half ago, just been running around the last two days with a list of things needing to be crossed off.

Yesterday we assembled the exersaucer, and here is a pic of Elizabeth and Me with our new toys, yes I got it on the release date, though I didn't get in line for the 12:01 a.m. sale that happend around the city....almost... but I figured I needed my sleep more.

She is starting to stay longer in the exersaucer, though she wants out after a bit. To many things to play with I think. Like the picture shows, her hands on two toys and she is already eyeing up two more....

Asside from that, the usual, work, home, work, home. etc. Fall is here, and they trees have/are turning their nice golden brown. The weather is a bit chillier now, we had a fire going in the fire place last week, but even though it was in the single digits outside, it was broiling in the apt..... go figure, we spent most of the night with the widows open... go figure.

Here we have Elizabeth modeling a nice fall outfit, for some strange reason she has chosen the "bill murray in caddyshack" pose.....

Here she is all cute and clean....

Well, I hope that eveyone is alright, have an enjoyable rest of the week, and I will probably update later on the weekend.
