New News
Hi All!
Well again it has been awhile since I have updated my blog. Sometimes there has been no news, and for the last week i have had the flu, and still recovering (3 times in 2 years!!).
For the most important news, well it has been a bit time sensitive, but I think that the majority of the people that read this blog now. That news is that Roanna is pregnant, it has happened a lot sooner than we had expected, but I think most people know how bullheaded Ian gets when he puts his mind to something.
Anyhoo, yesterday was Roanna's first ultrasound, and unfortunately I was unable to go since I was laid low, and in bed at the time. Of course Roanna was repeatedly asked Where is the father? So apparently the next ultrasound, I will be along, even if it is in an urn full of my ashes..... (sick humour, apparently I am getting better).
Without further ado, here are some grainy scans of the ultrasound, we got the big sheet of negatives, not a photo print, so far this is the best I could do at 5 in the morning, couldn't sleep, kept coughing so I decided to get up and post this so Roanna can sleep peacefully for a few hours. If I remember the info correctly, we are at week 12, the fetus is at 5 cm (normal for the # of weeks) and all the tests so far are normal for what every tests they take. So a healthy and happy baby, Roanna went into meet her group of doctors that follow the whole visit and tests, and when she goes into labour, which ever Doc is on call comes in to deliver the baby. That was on Monday, and Roanna got a ultrasound with a hand scanner, and got to hear the heartbeat Monday the 25th. On Friday they showed the beats in a graph, but sadly no sound. Anyhoo pics.
Sorry pic, after about 20 mins of work, I have ended up with 3 versions of the same picture, here is the best.
More info later.

Tuesday Afternoon
Hi all,
Couple of days off starting tomorrow, so I will hopefully finally post those pics that i was talking about last week.
I see fromt he news that Bermuda seemed to have faired well (as well as having a hurricane blow through the islands, anyway!!!)
I guess when everyone gets thier power back on, posts and such will start appearing, sometimes those power outages can last for quite a long time.....
Not much else going on here, everyone is talking about the upcoming cold weather and (possibly) snow, so i guess it is time to break out he big coats, gloves and hat (okay touque).
Yesterday i had a hankering for shrimp and we went to Red Lobster, it reminded me of a few restaurants back in BDA.... Which also brings about the two year aniversary of me moving to Calgary, on September 11th 2004 (not by choice, ended up changing flights a couple of times). Sometimes it seems like longer.....
Well I hope that everyone is safe and sound, and I will update a little later in the week.
Take care,
Ian

Sunday Afternoon Blog
Hi all,
I guess that most readers that come here will be a bit supprised to see an update, well like I keep saying, nothing exciting happens up here. Just the normal stuff, work, home, work home, read newspapers, watch TV, scoop kitty litter, rinse, repeat....
Hmm lets see, for the last week, we have:
BBQ'ed ribs last night, we had invited over a work friend and her son, but unfortunately they had to cancel for a family emergency....
Last week, we had another hook up with a couple, unforturnately they had to cancel as well since their afternoon plans had been moved forward leaving little time to meet for lunch...
So far we have been trying to get together with this couple since September of 2005, no luck yet!!
I sent away another application for a job (Safety related, nothing back yet)...
Discovered that Maxine likes to jump up on my dresser and look out the window in our bedroom.....
Had a impromptue dinner with Roanna's brother and sister in law.....
For today, we drove to Bragg Creek picked up a couple of sandwitches and went to a nice park and had a nice quiet lunch, I took a few pics and will post any good ones in the next few days.
Washed the car (exciting!!!)
Monday we will try to visit friends, hopefully....... (we are keeping our fingers crossed!)
Well, if anything else turns up I will be sure to update.... I am pretty sure after the EXCITING update of our week, everyone WILL BE SURE TO CHECK BACK LOTS.
Anyhoo, we all hope that everyone has a great long weekend.
Ian.
