Thursday Night
Hi all,
not much going on today, been a nice hot day with lots of sun, apparently it is supposed to be getting cold tomorrow. More studying today, bit more work, Roanna has even brought her work home so she can catch up a little bit. Right now both of us are sitting on the couch with a laptop each in our laps typing away.
Anywho, since I am on lets see what else I can remember, Oh, we missed a really nasty storm in Saskatoon by a week, when we left. Apparently it was pretty sudden, caught a few people on the roads, apparently they had to be rescued by snowplows. Luckily we were out before then, Roanna's Grandma & Grandpa stayed in the house for the week, and out of the bad weather.
Well not much else going on so I'll say goodbye.

Monday Afternoon
Hi all,
Just a quick update between chapters.
Been a busy weekend, Study for me, work for Roanna. We went to Rich & Kims for spagetti dinner and Poker (texas hold 'em). I lost fairly quickly then went down stairs to watch the Flames win. Roanna got into a smaller side table and won back her buy-in and mine as well. So pretty much broke even for a long fun night.
Sunday was typing up a few items for my home made flash cards for the EMR course. Then shopping at Costco, a visit to the In-laws to pick up some fire wood. Back home for lunch, fire, and plopped into the front of the TV for the next 5 hours watching the playoffs........ Both my teams lost, so I don't know who I am gonna support for the Superbowl, though I suspect I will be at a bar on Superbowl Sunday (or home may try for an impromptue party), either way I will probably only be there for "moral support" of someone.
Let's see, Today, was off to Starbucks to read some more chapters, and have a coffee. Roanna was up early and had to go to one of the medical clinics to have a blood test, the one where they make you drink something and wait an hour, then they draw blood, I think it is supposed to check for diabeties. I called her later, she didn't have any problems. The baby has been pretty active lately, moving around and around, but aside from that, things are still going well.
Anyhoo, the weather is warming up now, we are above zero now, and it should be scorching by Wednesday like plus twelve. Anyhoo, gotta hop off now, everyone have a great week.

Tuesday afternoon
Hi all,
A bit of studying today, three chapters down, plus the answer book chapters filled out....may be not correctly but filled out anyway.....
Poppoed out to get some card stock paper, so I can make up some flash cards to help me along with the studying... Just have to print them out and cut them, got some paper on special that was cheaper than the rest. plus got a box to put them in, and carry them around, hopefully this will help a bit...
Lets see for exciting news yesterday, Roanna & I finally registered for a few baby items, plus we went in and picked up one of those chairs that rock nicely, it was a hundred dollars off, but of course we special ordered one and was told the price went back up, the hundred dollars was off only on the floor model. Ah well anything to get you in the store I guess, for the next few months I will keep popping in to see if they drop the price on the ottoman, of course they keep alternating discounts on the ottoman and the chair, hopefully it goes back on discount. That took up about 2 hours of our night last night.
Asside from that not much else going on, work at home, Roanna is busy at work at her job, with only two more months to go ...well two and a bit... We are in the process of uncluttering the apartment, getting rid of furniture and making more room, we really have to much stuff in boxes and totes still...... Gotta make room for the baby and the crib... at least they don't move around to much in the first year!!
Anyhoo, I gotta run across the street to pick up some items for dinner, everyone take care, here is another photo I took in Regina, Roanna & I went for a walk on New Years day, I guess it is kinda obvious why I took it, though I do like the photo.
Cheers Ian

Monday, January
Hi all,
it has been over a week now, sorry, just have been a bit busy studying for my examination that I did on Saturday.
Today I had to go back, I forgot to take the money with me on Saturday, I passed my exam and practical work, once you have passed both they let you pay and give you the next set of books. Now I have ALOT OF reading to do, plus workbook stuff, you have to show a completed workbook, this gives you a small percentage towards your final score, (if you don't you get a zero). Well at least the pass mark is 80%, you also get a chance to redue one of the final two tests, as long as you don't fail both final tests you get another shot.
First class is on Feb. 6th, so lots of studying coming up in the next two weeks.
Everyone is fine, we took down the Christmas stuff yesterday, and put of a few of our gifts and items we made from or trip to Saskatoon. Here is a photo of the items we made, Roanna made a clock, we both made the Goose in flight (we gave to Trish & Jeff), we both made the two candle holders (I kept the squarish one, Roanna's Mom got the sail shaped one) and we gave the duck whirley to Mark and April. The clock is hanging on our living room wall above the fire place.
The other shot is a Christmas day shot, Roanna has opened our gift from her Granddad, which we have placed in the living room just to the side of the fireplace.
Anyhoo, take care

Friday Morning
Hi all,
Just a quick note right now, we made it back from Saskatoon yesterday just after lunch, and went straight into tidy up mode, you know the cleaning that you do when you come back from a vacation.
Maxine was very glad to see us, and we were very happy that Roanna's Mom popped into to feed and look in on her.
I will be posting again a bit later in the day, and I will put up some pics from our trip.

Regina 2007
Hi all,
Happy New Year, we hope yours went well, we are currently in Regina, after a 2 hour drive from Saskatoon yesterday. We had about 2 1/2 days with Roanna's Grandma & Grandpa, lots of home cooking and some time down in Grandpa's workshop working on more stained glass (keeping in practice, really).
Last night was a smallish get together, with some store brought fireworks to cap off the New Years celebration, (which was pretty cool, the fellow who brought then was so impressed, he wished he haddn't given any to his sons and kept them for himself!!)
Right now it is 0 C outside, and the house is pretty quiet, if we were not the first ones up, we are the ones who stayed up so far.
Tuesday we head back to Saskatoon, then Thursday back to Calgary, when I get back I'll post some pics.
Have a great 1st week everyone!!
