Sunday Evening

Hi all, been a long week, we had Roanna's family visit from Regina earlier on in the week, Vic, Terrylyn and their daughter Susana. That's her in the photo below. We went to the Grandparents for a nice dinner and chat, lots of photo's etc.

Mid week we decided to give Elizabeth her second bath, she enjoys it (we think), just no smiles or giggles yet, though as usual, we LOVE the clean baby smell afterwards.....

Saturday was Roanna's (and Debs) birthday party, we left Elizabeth at the Grandparents again (thank goodness they don't live in another province...) this was one of the first tests where they had to do EVERYTHING. It went well, we still have a couple of weeks until the wedding, and we are getting a bit more succesfuly at feeding Elizabeth with a cup or bottle.
Anyhoo, here is Deb doing the traditional "birthday shooter" ya, gotta love tradition.....

here is a photo of the birthday girls, it turned out very well I thought, we had a shot of the four of us, Deb's boyfriend Curtis, but the battery died, and it didn't save.
We had a nice time away from Elizabeth, but both of us did miss her for the time we were away.

Asside from that, Sunday was spent at the mall with Grandma, wondering around shopping and having lunch. Elizabeth came home and crashed in the crib pretty hard, she only napped a couple of short times after feeding, she seems to like to pay attention to what is going on around her.

Anywho, asside from that, same old same old, work, home, rinse repeat.....
Talk to eveyone later

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Hi all,

Just seems like we celibrated Mother's day!!!

Well though I would show you a picture of the first bath, we have been just using warm wet hand cloths at the change table, but we finally decided to try a real bath.

I guess our biggest fear would have been a very upset baby during the whole process, but we didn't even get a peep out of her.

She even didn't mind the toweling off. So now we have a squeeky clean baby...
Today the weather here is pretty gray, so we will pop out to do a little bit of shopping at babies r us (we have a gift card and some cash to spend). So we figured we better get some items today, plus Roanna wants to dump the blue diaper bag and get a pink one.......

Work is going, still more wrapping of furniture, tomorrow Vic & Terrylyne will be at the grandparents house all day, plus thier daughter (Suzana) is bussing in to meet Elizabeth. So we plan to be there for all day and dinner....(I think I feel a bit of a cold coming on *cough*cough*).

Aside from that, everyone is doing fine, both of us are pretty tired, Roanna more so, though it seems that Elizabeth has adjusted to a day/night schedual fairly well, and she is actually down at night for a bit longer, it seems that she is just doing 1 early morning feeding, then she is down again.

Well I hope that all you Dad's had a good Father's Day, and just remember you have to wear that tacky tie at least ONCE!!!!

Take care all,

Ian, Roanna & Elizabeth

Sunday Afternoon

Hi all,
Well I gotta admit, I knocked off at work at 330 on Friday, and by 8 pm Friday night I wanted a "do-over" on the weekend.....
It turned out alright by Sunday, but the news was on Friday afternoon was that, due to a broken water pipe, the whole apartment complex's water would be turned off all day...
Fortunately they hadn't turned off the water today it seems, though we have been trying to stay out of the apartment, we took laundry over to the grandparents house, they were away for Saturday and Sunday. Though the car has been pretty full for the last two days.
Last night we were at Trish & Jeff's for a dinner, Elizabeth got a bit fussy a bit later, so we left a little earlier, though I guess the rest of the storey turned out good, since we left the party early. Trish called us this morning to tell us that some fellow, driving drunk, rolled his truck right where we were parked. On the bad side I guess, the truck hit her sisters van. Apparently the fellow climed out of the truck and ran away, though a few neighbours chased him, he got away, eventually the police helocopter tracked him down and he was arrested.... Luckily no one was hurt, hopefull this fellow is insured, so the sister doesn't have to sue this guy for wrecking her car....
Today was back to the granparents for more laundry, then to the mall for shopping, Roanna was able to buy a dress for the upcoming wedding, and we picked up a few needed supplies.
Elizabeth is doing well, we are trying to re-introduce bottle feeding to her, she doesn't seem to want to drink from a bottle. We have a few weeks to get her comfortable, since Roanna is going to be in the wedding party July 7th, she is not going to be available to feed Elizabeth. Though she seems to be more excepting of the #2 bottle nipple, maybe she wasn't getting enough off of the #1....
Anywho,

Everyone have a great week, I'm back to work tomorrow, more wrapping.....

Sunday Evening

Hi all,

Well it has cooled down now, the weather was quite HOT for the last week, we just had some rain so it is a bit nicer now. Today was the baby shower, here are some photos.

Here is Roanna & Elizabeth dressed and ready to go, speaking of dresses, this was her first one worn.

Opening more gifts

Well lots of fun was had by all, I went downstairs to load up the washer with baby clothes, I also hopped over to Rich's apt, to drop off a cable, I ended up staying a bit longer. I got back in time to attack the food table and grab some bites. Then retired downstairs to read for a bit and wait for the dryer to buzz.

The ladies played some games for prizes, and such, I jumbled up some baby words last night on the computer, Roanna laid out some baby stuff for a memory game, they had a guess the babyfood game (the lables were taken off), and a jar of pink mints, closes guess got the jar, I had to count them last night 222.

Here is the jumble, I had to scan one since I didn't save it, print it off & have fun with it, the two worded jumbles are two words, I.E. wot sword is two words, click on it, it should get bigger.

Anyhoo, everyone have a good week, tomorrow Roanna is off to the doctors with Elizabeth so we will update with measurements and weights and what nots.....

Saturday Afternoon

Hi all,
Well a weeks worth of work in, Roanna has been home with Elizabeth all week, some days have been good some days have been worse.....
It seems as long as Elizabeth is fed, she doesn't seem to be to fussy at night. Though now nights are getting alot warmer now. We have the fans out and going, almost constantly now....

Tomorrow is a Baby Shower at Grandma's house, the weather is quite nice so maybe a bit of it can be outdoors. I was going to stay home, but I think I will go, and crash down in the basement, I can do a couple of loads of laundry while the party is going on. I made a few "double onion tartlets, and I might make some Humus as well, I'll see what Madaline needs later tonight.

Asside from that, work has been okay, not to interesting, but at least I am making money.... Some time in the following week, the plant manager is going to show me the other areas to work to see if I am interested in working in any. Where I am at, all we do is wrap stuff, wrap in foam, wrap the corners in protective foam, wrap it all in stretchy cling wrap (big OR small cling wrap), put item on a pallet, annnnnddddd ......wrap some more.....

So far I have been collecting lotsa throw away stuff, my project in the next few weeks is to make an elevated cat jungle gym. I have been wanting to get Maxine one, but those things go for like 100 bucks for the small ones. So far, I haven't spent a dime, and have most of the material.....

I will probably hit the drawing board, so far the plan is to make it two tiered, so she can jump up to the "Relaxation Deck" and lay in the sun or look out the window. I'll send pics when I eventually do the project.

Everyone is doing well, Roanna is extremely tired, she went shopping for a bridesmaid dress this morning, though all she wants to do right now is hit the sack for an hour or so.

Talk to everyone later.

Hopefully we will have some pictures of the shower tomorrow, to post later during the week.

Take care all,

Ian, Roanna & Elizabeth
