First Post For 2006
Hi all,
sorry I haven't posted for for 2006 yet, but as usually nothing terribly exciting to post so far. We brought in the New Year at home, well we went out to Roanna's brothers house and played some poker, and came home for 1130.
We ended up watching a replay from Toronto with the New Year countdown "live" in the top right corner. Quite a few years back I was staying in Toronto for new years and had a great time.
We popped the champaigne and had a toast. Sat down and flicked between the two Muchmusic channels who were doing a top countdown on one channel, and retro-music videos on another. I am talking retro, stuff from the early seventies, up to the late nineties. Even some Bob Marley, we went to bed about twoish.
New Years Day was pretty quiet, we went over to visit the neighbours then invited them over to intoduce the kitties to them, (they have a cat). We ended up with a quick invite for dinner, fired up the BBQ and grilled some hot dogs and hamburgers and oven baked french fries. In the end a 5 minute visit turned out to be a 4 hour chat and dinner.
Yesterday we picked up Roanna's Mom and walked around the Zoo for 90 minutes, it was quite cold all morning, some of the animals were waking up, and it was not so busy when we got there, though it was filling up with families when we left.
Then a quick stop off at Kinjo's for some sushi lunch, drop of Mom at her house and back to home to watch the flames win in the last period of hockey.
take care all
and happy new year
