Tuesday Afternoon
Hi all,
Been a fun weekend and all. We celebrated Cinco De Mayo a day late, but nothing starts a celebration of a Mexican holiday than a nice fresh glass of Margarita on the porch.
Long storey short, due to injuries and illnesses we had to find some new guests to come over and enjoy the food we prepared. In the end we got hold of Richard and Kim who came over after work and celebrated with us. A little bit nippier than Mexico, we spent most of the time on our porch chatting and drining. Co-op next door brought in Desparadoes (a French made beer that has a sweet tequila flavor in it). I haven't had any of those since Bermuda, they were pretty nice. A VERY HOT homemade salsa (recipe called for 1 jalapeno we put in 4) Oh de pain!!
Smoked ribs and a potato salad with sausage as a side.
Later that night two of the neighbours came over and we ended up playing Halo 2 for about an hour. A peak at the clock and it was 1230 in the morning!!! Unfortunately I had to make 5 at work, so a very quick ending of the night and I was in bed by 1245. Needless to say the rest of the day was pretty tiring, up at 430 ish, drive down to work, back home into bed until 3 then we had Sheela over for a glass of wine and some appitizers (I made a crab dip the day before). We were thanking her for loaning us her minivan to pick up the chairs earlier in the week. Sheela brought over her photo album of a recient trip to Italy, what a gorgeous place, one day it would be nice to visit for myself. After that I think both Roanna and I were back in bed by 830, all I can say is thank goodness for coffee or I don't think I would have made it through the morning.
Anyhoo hope eveyone is okay, and enjoy a pic or two from Saturday.
